About Fix it Forward

Brandon Russell always felt that his calling was to make a difference in the lives of his fellow neighbors and community. Working in the home industry, Brandon knows first hand Home is Where the Heart is. Everyone's home is the lifeline to their personal story. Brandon realized what better way to make a life altering change than by Helping Fix a need in someones home. A need that may seem small to you may be monumental to someone else and by witnessing their gratitude it opens your heart to understand the heart of others.

This heart felt gratitude followed by the question of "how can I ever pay you back", is where Brandon's concept was born. There is no need to pay back, rather help someone else in need by Fixing Forward ... it's that simple. Brandon recalls how during his childhood he lived in what he refers to as a "front porch" community. His Mother and Father were always outside laughing with the neighbors and helping with small projects around each others homes. That tradition seems to have been lost. Throughout the last ten years, Brandon witnessed communities converting into a "back deck" society. Neighbors do not associate like in the olden days. Brandon noticed once the garage door closes, it seems that the only laughter heard is from memories he recalled. Fix it Forward was established to educate neighbors on how simple it is to resurrect the qualities in the front porch communities of yesterday. While rebuilding a renewed sense of hope and community, the true fix comes from within ... a transformation of your own heart..
